20/03/2023 The quarter-finals of the first and second legs of the Men's Division have been played
This weekend, three of the four first-leg quarter-final matches of the 1st Men's division were played. In this first match, Egara 1935 lost 1-3 against Vallès Esportiu; Diagonal did it by 0-2 with AD Rimas and Atlétic Terrassa by 4-2 with Matadepera'88. Today, Monday 20 March, at 9.15pm the match between EHC and Club Egara is played.The quarter-finals of the second leg will be played on March 27, at 9:15 p.m.: Club Egara - EHC; April 1, at 5:00 p.m.: Atlètic Terrassa - Matadepera'88 and at 5:15 p.m. Vallès - Egara 1935. 16/03/2023 EQUALLY AMAZING - THE ROUND TABLE OF CATALAN WOMEN'S HOCKEY
The Terrassa Municipal Auditorium hosted last Friday, March 10, the EQUALLY AMAZING - THE ROUND TABLE OF CATALAN WOMEN'S HOCKEY which was attended by more than 150 people and with the participation of women who are leading the women's sport on and off the field. This round table is part of the CENTENARY events.The event was presented by Joana Barbany, member of the Board of Directors of the Federation, who gave the floor to the mayor of Terrassa, Jordi Ballart, to welcome the attendees and highlight the role of hockey in the city of Terrassa and the woman's roleThe speakers who participated were:MARIJKE FLEUREN, President EHF, Member of the Executive Council, Member of the FIH Executive Council, Member of the IOC Commission "Women in Sport"ANNA CAULA, Secretary General of Sport and Physical ActivityLÍDIA MARTÍ, President CD Terrassa HockeyMONTSE DINARÈS, DHF Club Egara delegate and First playerMARIA JOSEP PUJOL, Member of the Board of Directors of the FCHSÍLVIA MUÑOZ, Ph.D. Spanish Men's and Women's TeamSANDRA ADELL, International ArbitratorKATIE ALLEN, Coach-Trainer DHM of the Real Club de PoloGIGI OLIVA, International playerSÍLVIA BONASTRE, ARC Women's ManagerANNA MATAS, Delegate Club Egara-Lafact Blau Hockey+MIREIA GIFRA, Catalan National Team PlayerVIVI INDURAIN, Veteran Player and former FCH boardBEA LASHERAS, ALICIA GALY and MARTÍ LLOVERAS, members of the Board of Directors of the Federation, were the moderators.Speakers shared their experiences in different roles in sport and hockey from a woman's perspective, including the political side, club presidents, team managers, team coaches of the highest category, the role of referees and the sport from the point of view of players of different generations.A competition was held among the attendees to see which were the three with the most knowledge of Catalan women's hockey and the winners took home a women's ARC shirt. Xavier Adell, president of the Federation, thanked the speakers and attendees for their participation and closed the panel highlighting the role of women and their empowerment in hockey and Catalan sport.
16/03/2023 TWO CATALAN TEAMS IN THE 1ST EDITION OF THE EHCO TROPHY
The junior women's Junior HC and the men's CD Terrassa will participate in the first edition of the EHCO TROPHY, a competition in which they will face the current youth champions of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands in the women's and men's categories.The championship will be held from April 7 to 10 in Amsterdam, at the Wagener Stadium and the annex field of the Amsterdamer HC, coinciding with the celebration of the EHL. Atlético Terrassa will be the Spanish representative in the men's ABN AMRO EHL FINAL8; Sanse Complutense and Club de Campo will do it in the women's FINAL8.The EHCO (European Association of Hockey Clubs) is chaired by the Real Club de Polo player, Leandro Martínez-Zurita, and includes the associations of hockey clubs in Spain (AECHH chaired by Jaime Coghen), Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Belgium. The EHCO was created in 2021 in order to jointly represent its interests before the International Federation (FIH) and the European Federation (EHF). The AECHH was formalized in December 2020 in Valencia during the Copa del Rey and de la Reina and the clubs that compete in the Men's and Women's Divisions of Honor are part of it.In this 1st edition of the EHCO TRPHY Junior FC will play against German Bremer, Belgian Royal Orée and Dutch SCHC. CD Terrassa will do it with the German Harvestehuder THC, the Belgian Royal Orée and the Dutch Amsterdamsche HC. As a novelty, in this edition, under-19 players will be able to compete in order to reward the efforts of last season's champions.The aim of the EHCO Trophy is to bring high-level European hockey to clubs that do not have the opportunity to play in an EHL and to the youth category whose members are not always able to access a national team or a first team of division of honor In future editions it is hoped to be able to expand the competition with the English champions and/or the finalists of each EHCO member country.
