Atlètic Terrassa is crowned champion of the EHCO Trophy Sub-19

6/04/2026

Catalan youth hockey continues to demonstrate its high level on an international scale. This weekend, Atlètic Terrassa and RC Polo represented our sport at the EHCO Trophy, one of the most prestigious youth tournaments (Under-19) in Europe, held at the SV Kampong facilities in Utrecht.

The performance of the Catalan teams in this competition, promoted by the European Hockey Club Organization, has been very outstanding, with a gold and a bronze for the Terrassa team and a meritorious fourth place for the Barcelona team.

Atlètic Terrassa men's team, undefeated champion

The Can Salas men's team has signed a round championship. The yellows were proclaimed champions of the tournament after winning absolutely all the games played. In the grand final, they beat the German Zehlendorfer Wespen by a close 2-1, thanks to goals from Màxim Florit and Cesc Bosch, thus winning the gold medal.

Bronze medal fought for by Atlètic Terrassa women

For their part, Atlètic's women's team has managed to climb to the third place on the podium. After a great group stage where they beat Harvestehuder (4-1) and the hosts Kampong (3-2), they only gave up against the Waterloo Ducks (1-3), a team that would end up winning the tournament. In the fight for third place, the Terrassa team tied 2-2 against the English Repton in regulation time and took the bronze medal in an exciting shoot-out.

RC Polo, on the verge of the podium

The RC Polo men's team also completed a very good tournament, finishing in fourth place. The Barcelona team had a solid group stage defeating Hampstead & Westminster (2-1) and the Waterloo Ducks (3-2), only losing to Zehlendorfer Wespen (2-4). In the last match to decide the bronze medal, they lost to the guest team of this edition, the South African Rondebosh.

From the Catalan Hockey Federation we would like to congratulate Atlètic Terrassa and RC Polo for bringing, once again, the talent of our grassroots hockey to the European elite.
