The Munich 2026 Super Cup is presented with record figures
3/02/2026
The facilities of Atlètic Terrassa HC hosted the official presentation of the Munich 2026 Super Cup yesterday afternoon. During the day, the technical details of an edition that continues to grow in volume were announced, reaffirming the vitality and muscle of the clubs that make up Catalan hockey.
The event featured the intervention of Xavier Adell, president of the Catalan Hockey Federation; Josep Maria Biosca, president of Atlètic Terrassa HC as host; Pep Albalat, sports category manager of Munich; and Joan Salvador, deputy mayor of the Terrassa Projection Area.
This year's edition stands out for its record participation figures that reflect the good health of our sport throughout Catalonia. A total of 828 athletes will take part in the competition, distributed in 46 teams that will compete in 21 different categories. This diversity ensures absolute representation of all levels of senior hockey, from hockey+ to masters +50.
As is tradition thanks to the sponsorship of Munich, all the finals of the competition will once again have individual recognition. The best player and the best player (MVP) of each category will be awarded a pair of specialized footwear from the brand, a consolidated initiative that seeks to reward excellence in each of the competitive teams.
The presentation also served to highlight the social aspect of Catalan sport. Two players from the Hockey+ project, Alba Molina and Sílvia Dalmases, participated in the event to share their career within the framework of the competition. Their intervention allowed us to reflect on the 20 years of life of this pioneering program, which has managed to integrate inclusive hockey as a fundamental and inseparable pillar of the structure of the Federation.
With the commitment of Munich and the collaboration of the clubs, the 2026 Super Cup is entering the final stage of preparations to offer a spectacle that combines the highest competitive level with the brotherhood of the Catalan hockey family.
