The Catalan Hockey Federation, awarded by the European Green Team project
26/11/2025
The Catalan Hockey Federation has been recognized with one of the SISE Awards granted by the Union of Sports Federations of Catalonia (UFEC), within the framework of the European Green Team project. This award recognizes the real commitment to sustainability and inclusion.
The Green Team project is aimed at transforming sport into a more sustainable, inclusive and socially responsible space. The Federation is among the three awarded entities that have stood out in the application of good practices in their events, along with the Catalan Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation (FECPC) and the Catalan Underwater Activities Federation (FECDAS).
The Federation presented the candidacy based on the organization of the international match between the national teams of Catalonia and Italy held at the Martí Colomer stadium in Terrassa.
To achieve a more sustainable and inclusive sports model, the Federation carried out several key actions during the event related to environmental sustainability and inclusion.
The SISE awards were made possible thanks to the collaboration of Ecoembes, with whom the Federation has signed a collaboration agreement to promote selective collection and environmental training within our sport. This agreement foresees the installation of recycling points in clubs and awareness campaigns to reduce environmental impact.
This award recognizes the integration of awareness-raising actions and accessibility improvements that bring sport closer to all citizens, reinforcing the will of the Catalan Hockey Federation to continue moving towards a more responsible sports model.
